- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!! I checked in online to renew my driver's license in person, since I'm not eligible for online renewal. The site sent me to ROCKWALL - a 30 minute drive! I got here right when I was supposed to. But the online check-in kiosk at the Rockwall office is "down." And the office is full. And they keep trying to tell us that those of us without chairs must wait outside. And I'm like, I'm not going out in the 90 degree heat, and if they want me to do that they can come talk to me and also explain WTF is the deal with the online check-in!!! The staff here just keep saying it's "not our fault" and "nothing they can control." Well, who IS in control?!?! The phone number given on the website is nothing but an automated system - I can't even reach a human being at that number! Seriously the most frustrating DMV experience I've ever had!!By Jennifer Whitus, August 25, 2017
